| Notice of Election. The Election Committee has begun to mail the 2010 Notice of Election for this year's Board election. A copy of the notice is available as a PDF file. Members who have requested electronic delivery should have a copy in their email. Members who prefer postal delivery will receive their notices shortly. Candidate nominations must be received by the Election Committee no later than October 1st. |

| "Foreign Friends" Membership Alternative. The Board has filled a gap in the Congress membership offerings with the creation of the "Foreign Friends of the Congress" program. The USIHC's constitution prohibits anyone who is neither a US citizen nor resident from becoming a member of the organization. The "Foreign Friends" program offers a way for individuals who cannot be members to participate in the organization. Anyone active in the "Foreign Friends" program will receive copies of the Icelandic Quarterly magazine and may participate any any Congress event without paying any non-member fees.
