For the first time, the United States is host to the FEIF Youth Camp, a week-long opportunity for youth members of all FEIF countries to come together and share their passion for the Icelandic Horse. Saddle Fitting Clinic. Organized by Lynne Fickett, this clinic will be held in Durango, CO on August 15 and 16. The clinic will be conducted by Eileen Guinipero who will be bringing saddles with which to demonstrate the fine points of fitting a saddle to your horse and to you. Clinic with Guðmar Petursson. Organized by Cecily Klingman and Lynne Fickett, this clinic will be held at Riversong Ranch in Durango, CO on October 9, 10 and 11. As was the case last year, clinic participation will be limited to 12 participants with private and semi-private lessons available as time permits. Annual Meeting The annual meeting of the USIHC will be held on January 15 and 16 in Reston, Virginia at the Sheraton Reston Hotel. Reston is 4 miles from the Dulles International Airport and about 20 miles from Washington, DC. The hotel has shuttle service to the airport and to the Reston Town Center about a mile away, which features many good restaurants and stores.

The USIHC room rate for the meeting will be $79 per night. The hotel has set up a link to make reservations. To make reservations by phone call 800-325-3535 and mention the US Icelandic Horse Congress to get the special rate. The group rate is available until January 1, 2010.
