Oct 1	Quarterly (December Issue) Article & Advertising Deadline. USIHC members are encouraged to submit articles and photos or illustrations for publication in the Icelandic Horse Quarterly. Email the editorial committee at quarterly@icelandics.org. We reserve the right to edit submissions. Information about the magazine and advertising is available here. Advertisers are encouraged to submit their ads online and pay using PayPal. Ads may be submitted here.
Oct 2– Oct 3	Conformation, Gaits, Breeding, Riding & Training Clinic This event has been canceled due to lack of participation. Columbus, North Carolina USIHC educational seminar with international FEIF breeding judge Barbara Frische and Birga Wild, IPZV Trainer A, at Hulinndalur. This is an outstanding seminar based on a very successful European concept newly introduced to the American market. The seminar is emphasizing on the correlation between the horses conformation and spirit with the horses abilities in riding and training. Contents of the seminar include class room style theory, hands on practice in horse conformation, ridden presentations and riding instruction. The seminar is suited for any level horse and rider!!! Jan 10	Pleasure Rider Program Logs Due. The final logs for the Pleasure Rider Program are must be received by January 10th. You may send partial logs at any time during the year so you don't have as much work to do at the end of the year. Blank log forms can be downloaded from the website.
