The following individuals are qualified to act as scribes at USIHC sanctioned competitions. Each judge needs a scribe to take down the comments and marks for each horse during the competition and assist with the calculation of the overall marks. In addition, according to the USIHC Sanctioned Show Rules, the 'chief' scribe is responsible for the enforcement of all show rules.

The requirements to become a scribe are essentially the same as to be a member of the Sport Committee. Individuals must demonstrate familiarity with the FEIF Sport Rules, USIHC competition rules, and have good communication skills. Contact the Education or Sport Committee chairs for more information about becoming qualified to scribe at sanctioned events.

Show orgranizers may also contact either committee chair for assistance in locating scribes.
