WorldFengur is the central and official database for Icelandic horses, providing a comprehensive record of their pedigree history, breeding quality and subjective/objective characteristics.
The database includes information such as:
- Pedigree and offspring records.
- Breeding assessments and competition results.
- Owner and breeder details.
- Breeding prediction values (BLUP).
- Colors, microchip numbers, and photos.
- Health records and DNA profiles for ancestry checking.
- WorldFengur encompasses Icelandic horses in FEIF member countries, as well as horses from non-FEIF countries that meet purity requirements.
- It facilitates global breeding evaluations, allows for easier tracking of pedigrees, and provides a valuable resource for breeders, horse owners, and enthusiasts.
FEIF member associations (such as the USIHC) have free access. By becoming a member of the USIHC, you will receive a login to the Worldfengur database!
WorldFengur requires us to manually activate your access each year. You can start that process by logging in (upper right corner) and placing your request. Once we activate you, WorldFengur will send you an email message with the instructions for activating your subscription.
Be sure to check your SPAM folder for instructions. You should allow up to 24 hours for us to process your World Fengur access request.
