Jana Meyer is nominated for Trainer of the Year due to her involvement in the establishment and leadership of the United States National Team. This talent development team was first dreamed up by Carrie Brandt and Jana Meyer at the previous World Championships, and brought to fruition through the tireless efforts of Jana, Carrie, Virginia Lauridsen and Asta Covert. Jana was invaluable to the process of drafting the formative documents of the team, and her ability to problem solve, lead and take into account different voices and points of view were instrumental to its establishment. The newly formed team now has over 15 members and we are looking forward to seeing how the project continues to develop over time. Jana's tireless dedication to the success of her fellow riders has earned her their respect and admiration, and her kind, horse centered, systematic teaching has made her an invaluable resource to leisure and competition riders alike.
